The Spaces are a local band from Medway, England. They reached out in 2022 regarding some artwork for their latest single ‘Ecstasy’. They had sent me the song early and gave me full freedom to create with no set brief. Below is the artwork I created in response. Watercolour, ink and coloured paper. All created by hand, scanned in and digitally composed. ‘Ecstasy’ was the first piece of work I created that I was really proud of after graduating from university, and this commission helped set the tone of what was next for my freelance career. A step up from my graduation showcase and taster of the real world. This piece was later selected for the Zandra Rhodes Retrospective exhibition as I had it printed onto 340gsm shimmer velvet.
